Privacy Policy

About Haven

Haven is an iOS app that helps travellers find and access airport lounges. It is developed and operated by Dom Lotters, based in Australia.

Information you provide

Haven lets you add memberships (credit cards, airline status, lounge programs) to determine your lounge eligibility. This information is:

• Stored locally on your device only, using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData)
• Never uploaded to our servers
• Never shared with any third party
• Deleted permanently when you delete the app

We do not have accounts, so we cannot see your membership data and cannot recover it if you lose your device.

Location data

Haven may request access to your device's location to automatically detect your nearest airport. If you grant this permission:

• For automatic airport detection, your location is processed on-device and is never sent to our servers
• If you submit a new lounge or a correction to an existing one, your location at the time of submission is sent to our servers along with the report, to help us verify it. This is the only case where your location leaves your device.

Location access is optional and controlled by a single iOS permission — you can use Haven without it by searching for airports manually. Because the same permission covers both uses, granting it also allows location to be attached to lounge submissions as described above.

Feedback and reports

Haven includes optional features that send data to our servers:

• Add a lounge / report incorrect info — if you submit a new lounge or a correction, we store the details you provide (including any photos and, if location access is granted, your GPS coordinates at submission time), the lounge or airport it relates to, and an anonymous device identifier. We use this only to improve our lounge data.
• Rate a lounge — if you rate or review a lounge, we store your rating, optional comment, app version, and an anonymous device identifier.
• App feedback — if you submit feedback via the in-app prompt, we store your message, your app version, and an anonymous device identifier.

The device identifier is Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) — a random ID unique to your device and our app. It is not linked to your name, Apple ID, or any personal information, and resets if you reinstall the app.

Analytics

Haven uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous product analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, how many people search for a given airport. Data collected includes:

• Anonymous event names (e.g. "lounge detail viewed")
• App version and iOS version
• Device type (e.g. "iPhone")

No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events. Analytics data is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Third-party services

Haven uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — stores lounge data (airports, access rules, hours), plus the submissions, ratings, and feedback described above. Hosted in Singapore (ap-southeast-1). Your membership data is not stored here. Supabase Privacy Policy

We do not use advertising SDKs, social login, or data brokers.

Children's privacy

Haven is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Haven after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
